In Beerato, a small, isolated, wind-swept village in Somaliland, lives 12-year-old Alifa. Her mother died when she was born, so she was taken care by her auntie Sahra, who taught her how to be a shepherdess. Like all girls in her community, she is about to have to undergo FGC (Female Genital Cutting). She is afraid but can’t tell anybody.
